Andrew Keogh fue un bibliotecario que inició su carrera en la Biblioteca Pública de Newcastle-upon-Tyne en Inglaterra desde 1892-1898. Luego se convirtió en bibliotecario de la Linonia and Brothers Library en la Universidad de Yale. Fue ascendido a bibliotecario jefe en Yale en 1916 y ocupó ese cargo hasta su retiro en 1938 Keogh se desempeñó como presidente de la American Library Association desde 1929 hasta 1930.
